Could there possibly be a better time than right now to re-boot the girl-power animated series of She-Ra? The show has evolved since the original spin-off from He-Man and the Masters of the Universe but many characters are coming back and we will meet many new characters. The glimpse we get in the trailer shows Princess Adora to be a fierce fighter before she even sets eyes on the Sword of Protection. We will be watching as Adora is chosen to lead the Rebellion of the Princesses of Power against the Evil Horde and has to decide between loyalty and what is right. Keep reading the step by step instructions below to see how to recreate this look. This is a tutorial following how I made my She-Ra costume! I tried my hardest to hunt down links for everything used in this project! I bought most stuff in person at crafts stores and did a little online shopping on Amazon and, of course, Costume SuperCenter. Feel free to elaborate!! I started this project by drawing up a pattern.

Step one: the shirt
When I was a young child with only the slimmest idea I was transgender, I used to be fascinated with cartoons in which characters underwent fantastic transformations. The first I can recall was the fully-animated A Troll in Central Park , but the most affecting were those starring real-life actors who turned into cartoons — think Rock-a-Doodle or Macauley Culkin in The Pagemaster. There was just something so alluring about the idea of having my plain, unsatisfying flesh zapped into something different, something extraordinary, even for a little while. And then last weekend, I transformed myself into She-Ra, Princess of Power, and let me tell you, folks: 10 out of 10, would become a cartoon character again. Unlike last year, when I spent most of my time running a magic pirate-themed roleplaying game , this year I was mostly free to explore the con — and to get ready for the group cosplay of my dreams. A few months before the convention, my girlfriend asked if I was planning on attending again.
Finished She-Ra in time for the convention, despite my disability. I have not been able to find any sort of tutorial for the new she-ra reboot so, as I make my She Ra cosplay I would love to help you fellow She Ra cosplayers out! So how I patterned this was looked at a photo and drew half of the design on a regular 8x10 sheet of note book paper folded in half hot dog style.
